Geologists calculated how much Kyrgyzstan might get from the development of deposits. Duishenbek Kamchybekov, the First Deputy Chairman of the Association of Miners and Geologists, told today at a press conference.
According to him, Issyk-Kul region may receive $ 9.4 billion from development of deposits, Talas — $ 1.5 billion, Chui — $ 1.8 billion, Jalal-Abad — $ 9.2 billion.
«Batken region is a god-forgotten region, backward area, but there are minerals worth $ 38.4 billion. These deposits are not equal in importance to Kumtor and Jerooy. The reserves of Naryn region are estimated at $ 32.5 billion,» said Duishenbek Kamchybekov.
He added that the total possible profit was $ 83.3 billion. «To get this money, it is necessary to develop geology, improve legislation, work with the population. Discontent of local residents can be resolved with the help of a social package, and work must be started only after obtaining justifications and conclusions,» explained Duishenbek Kamchybekov.
