The head of the Land Resources Department of the Bishkek City Administration was detained. The press center of the State Committee for National Security reported.
Urmat Murzakanov was detained in the framework of the criminal case on the unlawful allocation and provision of land plots to individuals in Bishkek.
As 24.kg news agency previously reported, the First Vice Mayor of Bishkek, Renat Makenov, was also detained.
Both of them are charged with corruption. The investigation intends to petition for the arrest of these officials.
Recall, the Prosecutor General’s Office revealed the fact of illegal provision of land plots by the Land Resources Department (formerly the Municipal Property Department). In October 2014, it provided private individuals with a land plot in the 12th microdistrict with an area of 3.38 hectares for a year.
