About 40,000 trucks cross Kazakhstan-Kyrgyzstan border since beginning of year

Since the beginning of the year, 37,353 trucks have crossed the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border within the trade with the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union. The State Tax Service reported.

The largest number of trucks passed through Ak-Tilek checkpoint in Issyk-Ata district — 21,558 vehicles. The checkpoint Chaldybar in Panfilov district passed 8,329 trucks, Chon-Kapka in Manas district — 4,775, Akzhol checkpoint in Alamudun district — 2,691.

At least 335 cars were detained for violation of the tax legislation.

«The drivers did not have any accompanying invoices and certificates. About 333 vehicles were placed in impound lot of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes,» the report said.

Since October 26, 2016, four mobile groups, consisting of the staff of the State Service for Combating Economic Crimes, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Tax Service, have been working. They work at the checkpoints Ak-Tilek, Chaldybar, Chon-Kapka and Akzhol. Their duties include the detection of violations of the rules of trade in the carriage of goods (within the framework of EEU.)
