Deputy suggests to introduce five-day working week for doctors

It is proposed to introduce a five-day working week for doctors in Kyrgyzstan. MP Dastan Bekeshev made such a suggestion today at the session of the Parliament.

According to him, many doctors work on Saturdays. It is not right. They have to work 5 days, like many others.

«There may be exceptions for emergencies. According to the Labor Code, doctors have to work 40 hours a week. They need two days off,» said Dastan Bekeshev.

The deputy recalled that since the second half of the 2016/17 school year, the primary classes at all schools, regardless of their status, have already switched to five-day working schedule.
