Safe schools will appear in Kyrgyzstan. This was announced today at a press conference.
According to the expert Anna Kirilenko, 11 schools, three of them — in Bishkek, have been selected for a pilot project within the framework of the program «Development of mechanisms for financing the safety of the educational environment in schools of Kyrgyzstan.»
Experts noted that safety in schools should not only be ecological, but also physical and psychological. The classrooms should not be only warm and light, it is necessary to comply with the standards, for example, the air temperature. It should not be below 18 and above 24 degrees. There should be an appropriate level of lighting, and houseplants should be located at such a distance from the windows not to interfere with the penetration of the sunlight.
Anna Kirilenko added that on the basis of the three universities there will be established departments for the training of teachers who will work in the safe schools.
