Work to clean up the ice jams on Ala-Archa river was organized to prevent the flooding of private houses in Zavodskoy settlement. Press service of the Bishkek City Administration reported.
According to it, 67 people were involved along with seven special-purpose vehicles and two pumps, six trucks of sand were brought to strengthen the river banks.
Mechanized cleaning of the rivers from ice jams will continue in potentially dangerous areas.
