Migrants in Russia complain mostly about unpaid wages

Since the beginning of the year, 2,289 complaints against representatives of the Ministry of Migration in Russia have been received. The Deputy Minister of Labor, Migration and Youth Almaz Asanbayev told at the meeting of the parliamentary faction Respublika — Ata Jurt.

According to him, the ministry opened representative offices in nine regions of Russia. «We take into account the location of the consulates in order they not to be located in the same city and also the opportunity to travel to other regions by train,» Almaz Asanbayev said.

He also told that migrants complain mostly about non-payment of wages.

«There were complains for a total of $ 102 million. We have managed to return $ 32 million in salaries. As for $ 81 millions, we appealed to the law enforcement agencies of Russia,» Almaz Asanbayev said.
