Almazbek Atambayev to take part in 72nd session of UN General Assembly

Preparation for the working visit for participation in the 72^nd session of the UN General Assembly was discussed by Almazbek Atambayev today at a meeting with the Foreign Affairs Minister Erlan Abdyldaev and the head of the foreign policy department of the presidential administration Aizada Subakozhoeva, the Information Policy Department of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

According to it, the head of state was informed about the work on implementation of key areas of the country’s foreign policy. In particular, he was informed about the preparation for the upcoming meeting with Vladimir Putin, as well as a working visit to New York.

In addition, the course of work on implementing the agreements reached during the state visit of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Kyrgyzstan in the light of the preparation of the forthcoming state visit by Almazbek Atambayev was discussed.

According to the department, Almazbek Atambayev gave a number of instructions on the qualitative preparation of the upcoming events and «further implementation of the country’s foreign policy aimed at developing comprehensive relations with key partners in the priority of national interests.»
