Orphans allocated about hundred grants for admission to universities annually

In Kyrgyzstan, about one hundred grants are annually allocated to orphans for admission to higher education institutions, the Minister of Education and Science Gulmira Kudaiberdieva said today at a meeting of the profile committee of the Parliament.

«Are the graduates of orphanages enrolled on the basis of the knowledge outside the quota?» the deputy Aida Ismailova asked.

«I don’t have such statistics now. But all graduates of orphanages and boarding schools have the opportunity to enter all primary and secondary special educational institutions out of the competition," the head of the Ministry of Education noted.
