Ambassador of Ukraine protests against trip of SDPK deputies to Crimea

Ambassador of Ukraine in Kyrgyzstan Mykola Doroshenko expressed a protest to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic in connection with the trip of deputies of the Parliament from SDPK to the Crimea. He posted it on Facebook.

The message of the head of the diplomatic mission of Ukraine says that diplomacy is a space for seeking mutual understanding, an effective tool for development of cooperation. «However, when it crossed an invisible line of international law, it can not be as effective as an instrument to protect national interests," the Ukrainian diplomatic mission said.

The embassy called on Kyrgyzstan to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, explaining that there are rules of entry / exit to the territory of the Crimea, since it is considered as occupied.

I very much hope that the Kyrgyz authorities will hear it and take action, although looking at the pictures of the deputies of the Parliament of the Kyrgyz Republic, in particular Irina Karamushkina and Marat Amankulov in the occupied Crimea, I understand that the next visit to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs is inevitable. In this situation, the purely human dimension is more disturbing. Explaining the trips to the Crimea, the deputies talk about friendship and love, peace and harmony, that the leaders must reach agreement. We sincerely want to ask the peacekeepers a question — at whose expense? At the expense of Ukraine, to the detriment of its territory?» Mikola Doroshenko asks.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan has not yet commented on the protest of Ukrainian diplomats.
