The Prosecutor General's  Office of the Kyrgyz Republic revealed 6 facts of human trafficking in 2016. This is stated in its report.

It was noted that in 2015 there were 11 such facts. Criminal cases were opened in all the cases. In 2015, the institution of one criminal case was refused.

As a result of the investigation, five criminal cases were sent to court, one was dismissed. Ten people were convicted under Article «Human Trafficking» of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2015 — only four.
