Five deputies of the Kyrgyz Parliament yesterday visited their counterpart Omurbek Tekebayev, who has been detained on charges of corruption and fraud. The Speaker Chynybay Tursunbekov was among them, the secretariat of Ata Meken party informed.
It’s noted that Omurbek Tekebayev repeatedly stated about determination to prove his innocence.
Along with the Speaker, Almaz Batyrbekov, Altynbek Sulaimanov, Bakyt Torobaev and Almambet Shykmamatov visited GKNB jail. Socialist leader doesn’t complain about confinement conditions.
Yesterday Ata Meken party held its extraordinary meeting. It has put forward its leader’s candidacy for president.
They also decided to continue protest actions in all regions with a demand to release Omurbek Tekebayev.
