Nariman Tyuleev’s property confiscated to state revenue

Property of the former mayor of Bishkek Nariman Tyuleev was confiscated to the state revenue. Azattyk reported with reference to the Supreme Court of Kyrgyzstan.

The Supreme Court clarifies that belonging to the ex-mayor of the capital, former member of Parliament and his close relatives property, which has been seized, was confiscated in favor of the state.

According to the Supreme Court, Leninsky district court of Bishkek on July 29, 2013 found Nariman Tuleyev guilty under Article 30 (Complicity in the crime) and Article 303 (Corruption) and sentenced him to 11 years in the penal colony with a reinforced regime, with confiscation of property to state revenue, with deprivation of the right to hold public office for up to three years.

The judgment of the district court was upheld.

Judicial board of the Supreme Court on November 30, 2015 changed the verdicts of the courts of the first two instances. Materials under Article 30 (Complicity in the crime) and Article 183 (Legalization (laundering) of criminal proceeds) of the Criminal Code were united in a separate criminal case and sent to the Prosecutor General for further investigation.

Recall, Nariman Tyuleev was released on May 7, 2016. His relatives helped him to avoid full punishment, having compensated the damage to the state: part in cash and part — in form of apartments with the total cost of 48.3 million soms.

The State Property Management Fund is ready to transfer 8 apartments to the municipal property of Bishkek. The Mayor’s Office plans to use the elite housing as a service one, without the right to further privatization.
