Prosecutor General’s Office checks Internet resources in Kyrgyzstan

Check of the online resources available to users started in Kyrgyzstan. The Information department of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported.

According to it, the check was organized to protect the minors from the harmful effects of certain online publications.

Thus, an interdepartmental working group, comprising representatives of the State Committee for Information Technology and Communications, Internal Affairs, the Department of Education of the Mayor’s Office, as well as representatives of non-profit organizations was formed under the auspices of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bishkek.

In this regard, on February 7, the supervisory authority has submitted to Oktyabrsky district court of the capital a claim on recognition of the information posted on several Internet resources illegal and banned for distribution in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic. The issue of their blocking was raised.
