Kyrgyzstan approves small and medium enterprise development program

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a resolution approving the «Program for the Support and Development of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic until 2030.»

The main objective of the program is to achieve structural changes in the economy by 2030 through increasing value added and the contribution of SMEs to GDP, expanding employment, strengthening export potential, and boosting tax revenues.

The institutional framework for implementing the program is based on coordination, digitalization, and public—private partnership principles. Key mechanisms include the creation of a consortium of SME support institutions and the introduction of a digital platform SME Hub, designed to function as a one-stop service for entrepreneurs.

The resolution establishes personal responsibility for heads of government bodies, presidential plenipotentiary representatives in the regions, and heads of local government bodies for the timely and effective implementation of the SME Support and Development Program and its action plan through 2030.
