Kyrgyzstani Islam Narynbekov becomes two-time US kettlebell lifting champion

Kyrgyz athlete Islam Narynbekov became a two-time U.S. and Pan American Games champion in kettlebell lifting, winning an international tournament.

According to the Kettlebell Lifting Federation of Kyrgyzstan, the 2026 USA Kettlebell Sport Lifting Nationals & Pan American Championship took place on June 26-27 in Michigan and brought together the strongest athletes from North and South America.

This victory was Narynbekov’s second consecutive at this tournament, allowing him to once again confirm his status as U.S. and Pan American Games champion in kettlebell lifting.

Islam Narynbekov, a native of At-Bashi village in Naryn region, is a member of Kyrgyzstan’s national kettlebell lifting team. He competes in the over 95 kilogram weight class. Over the years, he has won world, US, and Pan American Games titles, won medals at Asian and world championships, and is a four-time champion of Kyrgyzstan.
