Akyns-improvisers contest planned to be held in Italy

An international contest for akyns-improvisers is planned to be held in Italy. The initiative was discussed during a meeting between Kyrgyz Ambassador to Italy Ermek Omuraliev and Director of the Kyrgyz National Manas Theater, Nurbek Talantbekov.

According to the Ministry of Culture, the meeting focused on expanding cultural cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Italy, strengthening bilateral ties, and implementing joint projects in the future.

The parties reviewed an initiative to organize an international aitysh contest for akyns- improvisers dedicated to the 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Kyrgyzstan and Italy. The event aims to promote the national cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people internationally and further develop cultural diplomacy.

The sides also reached agreements on holding cultural events in several Italian cities to promote Kyrgyz culture. In recognition of his contribution to strengthening cooperation and supporting these initiatives, Ermek Omuraliev was presented with awards from the Kyrgyz National Manas Theater.
