Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan presents his credentials to President of Italy

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan Ermek Omuraliev presented his credentials to the President of Italy Sergio Mattarella. The ceremony took place at the Quirinal Palace in Rome, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.

The parties then held a meeting at which the state and prospects for the development of Kyrgyzstan — Italy relations were discussed. The Ambassador conveyed greetings from the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov to Sergio Mattarella, as well as an invitation to visit the Kyrgyz Republic at a convenient time.

The diplomat was congratulated on the start of the mission and expressed support for the further strengthening of friendly relations between the two countries.

The head of Italy congratulated the Kyrgyz Republic on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the period 2027-2028 and confirmed interest in developing mutually beneficial cooperation. He expressed confidence that the Kyrgyz Republic will pursue an objective, balanced, reasonable policy within the UN and convey the positions/voice of the region and small mountainous countries at UN platforms.

The parties reported on the positive dynamics of the political dialogue between the two states, the potential for expanding interaction in the trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and educational spheres, and also confirmed the importance of practical cooperation in the Central Asia — Italy format.
