The Asia and Oceania Masters Sambo Championships are taking place on May 20-21 in Aktau, Kazakhstan. The International Sambo Federation announced.
The continental tournament is open to sambo athletes aged 35 and older.
The winners and runners-up in various weight categories across four age groups were determined at the end of the first day of the tournament.
Kyrgyzstani Nurlan Alamanov won a gold medal in the 64-kilogram (50-54 years) weight category. He defeated Yerlan Akhmetov from Kazakhstan in the final.
