On April 19, a citizen B.M. filed a written complaint requesting action against an unidentified foreign national and a man named D. The press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Bishkek reported.
According to the complainant, on April 19, at one of the currency exchange offices on Abdrakhmanov Street, the suspects allegedly obtained $100,000 from him through deception and abuse of trust in exchange for cryptocurrency amounting to 101,459 USDT. However, the transaction was never completed.
A criminal case has been opened under Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic (Fraud on an especially large scale).
At present, all necessary investigative measures are being carried out to ensure an objective and comprehensive investigation and to establish the truth. The investigation is ongoing.
