The Ministry of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services of Kyrgyzstan proposes to regulate mandatory improvement of the urban environment when developing a general plan. The draft of the relevant order of the ministry has been submitted for public discussion.
It is specified that when developing a general plan, a project for the improvement of the adjacent territory with the planting of perennial plants in accordance with the technical parameters of buildings and structures will be mandatory.
The ministry clarified that the document was prepared for the purpose of creation of a favorable living environment for city residents and visitors to the capital. It is also aimed at ensuring environmental safety, improving the environment and preserving green spaces, preventing the negative effects of climate change and increasing the green areas and improvement.
These building codes apply to the design of new, reconstructed and overhauled public buildings and structures, as well as public spaces built into residential buildings and other facilities that meet the sanitary and epidemiological requirements for public buildings.
If the document comes into force, developers will be required to improve adjacent territories in accordance with the new rules.
