Incidence of ARVI and influenza in Kyrgyzstan continues to decrease

A total of 9,818 cases of ARVI (acute respiratory viral infections) and 58 cases of influenza were registered in Kyrgyzstan from February 24 to March 2. The Ministry of Health reported, citing the Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance.

According to the ministry, compared to the previous week, the incidence rate decreased by 2.6 percent. A total of 5.6 percent of those infected, or 557 people, were hospitalized.

No cases of COVID-19 were registered during this week.

Epidemiological surveillance for severe acute respiratory infections (SARI) and influenza-like illnesses (ILI) continues in the cities of Bishkek, Osh, and Tokmak.
