Measures to reduce harmful emissions are being taken. The Director of the Bishkek Heating and Power Plant (HPP), Nurgazy Kurmanbekov, said.
The press service of the City Hall reported that the head of the capital, Aibek Dzhunushaliev, inspected the territory of the HPP together with the heads of the relevant municipal enterprises, district administrations and city services.
«We need to take all necessary measures for the stable operation of municipal enterprises and the uninterrupted supply of heat and electricity to citizens,» he said.
Aibek Dzhunushaliev also noted the need to optimize and minimize the costs of enterprises.
As of today, the HPP carries a load of 450 megawatts, there are 137,789 tons of coal in warehouses, which is enough for an uninterrupted supply of heat and electricity.
Officials also touched on the problem of ecology.
Director of the Bishkek HPP municipal enterprise Nurgazy Kurmanbekov noted that all necessary measures are being taken to reduce harmful emissions. The effectiveness of the electrostatic precipitators is justified — they are cleaned annually.
