Kyrgyzstan invites Austria to participate in large infrastructure projects

The 9th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Austrian commission on bilateral economic relations was held in Vienna. The Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan reported.

The delegation of the Kyrgyz Republic was headed by Deputy Minister of Finance Ruslan Tatikov; the Austrian side was represented by Director General for Economic Affairs, Innovation and International Policy at the Ministry of Labor and Economy Florian Frauscher. The parties discussed strengthening cooperation and creating conditions for the implementation of joint projects.

The Kyrgyz delegation presented reports on key areas of partnership, including renewable energy, trade, infrastructure, healthcare, education and agriculture.

Ruslan Tatikov invited Austrian investors to participate in large projects, such as the construction of Kambarata HPP 1 and China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, emphasizing their strategic importance for the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Following the meeting, the parties signed a protocol, and the Kyrgyz side proposed holding the next meeting in the Kyrgyz Republic.
