The second Dash 8 Q400 aircraft, intended for the state-owned Asman Airlines, arrived in Kyrgyzstan. The press service of Manas International Airport OJSC reported.
- The Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 is a turboprop aircraft designed to carry up to 80 passengers and can cover distances of up to 2,000 kilometers. The maximum flight altitude is 8,500 meters. According to media reports, the average market price of one aircraft of this type is about $10 million.
The first Dash 8 Q400 aircraft for Asman Airlines arrived in Kyrgyzstan on September 6. A contract was signed with De Havilland plant in Canada to purchase the aircraft.
With the arrival of the new aircraft, the airports of Talas, Naryn, Karakol, Kazarman and Kerben, which have not been operating for the past 30 years, will resume operations. All these airports are ready to accomodate aircraft.
