The campaign «World Savings Day» kicks off in Kyrgyzstan today, October 28, the purpose of which is to improve the financial literacy of the population and form a savings culture. The National Bank reported.
The event has been held annually since 2015 under the coordination of the National Bank and with the support of government agencies, financial institutions, Deposit Protection Agency and other partners.
The campaign, which will last until November 1, will cover Bishkek and the regions of the country. Open lessons, lectures, interactive games, excursions, open days, competitions and quizzes will be held during this time. Experts will tell about the importance of savings, ways to secure and increase them.
As part of Savings Day, a financial fair will be held on October 31 at the Zhusup Balasagyn Kyrgyz National University. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., anyone can get free consultations on financial products and services provided by banking and microfinance organizations.
