Activities dedicated to World Savings Day started in Kyrgyzstan today. This was announced today at a press conference by the official representative of the National Bank of the country Aida Karabaeva.

According to her, the events will be held throughout the country from October 9 to 30. This year, five more commercial banks joined the celebration of the World Savings Day. They developed their programs jointly with the Savings Bank Fund (Germany). All activities within the framework of the World Savings Day will be held within the framework of the State Program on Increasing the Financial Literacy of the Population of Kyrgyzstan.

«This year, commercial banks and their branches will host open days, organize lectures on financial literacy and games on the topic of savings. We want to once again draw attention to the fact that savings play an important role in ensuring a reliable future for every citizen. They affect the successful economic development of the country as a whole,» Aida Karabaeva said.

Recall, the World Savings Day is celebrated around the world annually on October 31 for more than 90 years. Its goal is to propagate and instill a culture of savings. In Kyrgyzstan, the World Savings Day is held for the third time.
