Milton, being a category 3 hurricane, hit the west coast of Florida near Siesta Key on October 9. Wind gusts reached 193 kilometers per hour.
At least ten people died in the hurricane.
The hurricane caused heavy rains and flooding in Florida, as well as at least 20 tornadoes. About 3.3 million people in the state were left without electricity.
