President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with the Secretary of State of the Holy See (Vatican) Pietro Parolin. The press service of the head of state reported.
Given the rich heritage of the Vatican Library, Sadyr Japarov proposed considering the issue of establishing cooperation with the National Library of Kyrgyzstan. He emphasized the great potential for exchanging archival research, which can contribute not only to deepening scientific knowledge, but also to strengthening cultural ties.
In addition, the President highlighted healthcare as one of the priority areas of the country’s social policy. He proposed establishing a partnership between medical institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Bambino Gesu Hospital, known for its advanced technologies in pediatric oncology and transplantology.
Vatican Secretary of State Pietro Parolin noted the interest of the Holy See in Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia, highlighting cultural cooperation and interaction in healthcare. He also stressed the importance of promoting issues of mutual coexistence among the peoples of the world.
