First in Kyrgyzstan Sanzhyra Museum opened in Jeti-Oguz district

The first Sanzhyra (Genealogy) Museum in Kyrgyzstan was opened in Orgochor village, Jeti-Oguz district of Issyk-Kul region. The participants of the event reported on social media.

The museum was created on the basis of materials collected as a result of the national sanzhyra competition held in the 1990s and includes genealogies of Kyrgyz tribes and clans, as well as Turkic-speaking peoples related to the Kyrgyz. The Director of Protection of Historical Heritage Public Foundation Murat Zhetimishbaev made a great contribution to the opening of the museum.

The opening ceremony was attended by State Secretary Suyunbek Kasmambetov, presidential adviser Cholponbek Abykeev and others.

On September 25, at a meeting of the Parliament, deputies adopted amendments to the Law «On Museums and the Museum Fund» in three readings at once.
