President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov met with Federal Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz in Astana as part of his working visit to Kazakhstan. The press service of the head of state reported.
The parties discussed current issues of Kyrgyzstan — Germany agenda in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Sadyr Japarov noted that the country highly values the established friendly relations with Germany, which is one of the important partners of the Kyrgyz Republic in the European Union. He expressed satisfaction with the intensification of Kyrgyzstan — Germany cooperation, noting the successful official visit of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier to Kyrgyzstan last year.
The President added that the Kyrgyz side pays great attention to the development of economic ties with Germany, indicating a gradual increase in trade between the two countries.
He emphasized that one of the main tasks of the republic is to attract foreign investment and strengthen international partnership. Germany is an important partner for the Kyrgyz side in this area. Kyrgyzstan highly values the experience and knowledge that German companies can bring to the country. In turn, the Kyrgyz side is ready to provide favorable conditions for German investors, including various benefits and protection of their rights.
Federal Chancellor of Germany Olaf Scholz noted the interest and readiness to continue developing bilateral relations with the Kyrgyz Republic. Recalling the visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Berlin last year, he noted: this clearly shows that Kyrgyzstan and Germany are actively cooperating on specific issues.
Olaf Scholz also noted many topics for deepening cooperation between the two sides, highlighting one of the most pressing today — the issue of migration of specialists from the Kyrgyz Republic to Germany, who are of great interest to German enterprises.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue the course of strengthening and developing Kyrgyzstan — Germany relations in all areas of mutual interest.
