At least 17 schools were built in Kyrgyzstan in the first half of 2024. Deputy Director of the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, Housing and Communal Services Baktiyar Stanbekov told journalists.
According to him, including:
- In Osh region — 7,
- In Jalal-Abad region — 4,
- In Batken region — 3,
- in Chui, Naryn, Talas regions — one each.
He added that the construction of 20 more schools would be completed before the start of the new school year on September 1.
Baktiyar Stanbekov also told that two kindergartens, three healthcare facilities, and five sports complexes were built in the country in the first half of the year. The official noted that long-term construction projects are a priority — these objects are being completed first.
