Prospects for oil supplies from Azerbaijan to Kyrgyzstan discussed in Bishkek

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kyrgyzstan to Azerbaijan Maksat Mamytkanov met with First Deputy Minister of Economy of the country Elnur Aliyev. The press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

Issues of trade and economic cooperation were discussed, including prospects for oil supplies from Azerbaijan to the Kyrgyz Republic and exports of domestic agricultural products, in particular mutton and beans.

Issues of cargo transportation along China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan-Turkmenistan-Caspian Sea-Azerbaijan route were separately discussed, including future cargo volumes in view of the construction of China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway. The parties agreed to continue joint work in this direction.

The parties also touched upon the functioning of Azerbaijan-Kyrgyzstan Development Fund, the authorized capital of which was increased to $100 million during the state visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Azerbaijan in April 2024.
