Issyk-Kul region will host an International Forum of Volunteers from CIS countries. The press service of the Ministry of Culture of Kyrgyzstan reported.
According to it, the event is a unique platform for exchanging experience, knowledge and best practices in the field of volunteer activities. The forum is aimed at strengthening ties between volunteer organizations of the CIS countries, promoting and supporting volunteer activities as an important component of sustainable development, as well as integrating the SDGs approved by the UN.
The event will be attended by 120 young people from all CIS countries. The international forum is scheduled to be held from July 31 to August 3.
Panel session topics:
- Volunteering and sustainable development goals: global challenges and local solutions;
- Volunteers without borders: successes and challenges;
- Environmental volunteering: protecting the planet for future generations.
