A regular meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) was held in Moscow on November 12. The Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic, Lieutenant General Baktybek Bekbolotov, took part in its work.
During the meeting, the participants discussed various aspects of multilateral military cooperation and summed up the results of the joint work of the defense departments of the Commonwealth countries for 2024.
In addition, the Defense Ministers discussed preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The meeting participants emphasized the importance of joint work to preserve the memory of the heroism and courage of Soviet soldiers who died in battle, and expressed their readiness for further cooperation in this direction.
During the meeting, the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, on behalf of the President, awarded the Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz Republic with the Order of Friendship.
