Manas International Airport received another e-mail about a bomb threat. The press service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Chui region reported.
On June 13, at about 8.35 a.m., an airport employee called 102 service of the Main Internal Affairs Department of Chui region and reported about possible planting of a bomb in the airport terminal.
«Law enforcement officers immediately went to the scene. The airport area was cordoned off, and employees and passengers were evacuated. Sappers and cynologists with dogs worked on the spot. The entire airport building was checked and nothing was found,» the statement says.
Currently, the cordon has been removed and the airport is operating as before. As the police reported, the e-mail said: «Manas airport is mined, and you have five hours if you want to avoid terrible consequences».
The Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region warns that a bomb hoax is punished by imprisonment of up to five years.
