Children with disabilities living in residential institutions of Kyrgyzstan are allocated 12.8 soms per day from the republican budget for medicines. Director of the National Center for Prevention of Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment and Punishment, Bakyt Rysbekov, announced this at a meeting of the Parliament.
I repeat once again: 12.8 soms per day! This is 4,672 soms per year. And this is for a child with disabilities. Directors of residential institutions say this is not enough.

The director of the National Center expressed hope that after his report the deputies and members of the Cabinet of Ministers present at the meeting would solve this problem.
