Kyrgyz-Uzbek car assembly plant planned to be launched on May 28

Kyrgyz-Uzbek car assembly plant will be ready to work in test mode on May 28, 2024. Minister of Economy and Commerce of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev told 24.kg news agency.

The enterprise is located in Sokuluk district of Chui region. The plant is planned to produce Chevrolet, Daewoo and Isuzu cars.

Recall, a cooperation agreement on the organization of production of automotive and commercial vehicles in Kyrgyzstan was signed in March 2023 between Uzavtosanoat JSC, DT Technik LLC and NUR JSC (KR).

«In addition, it is planned to launch a Kyrgyz-Chinese plant for the assembly of electric vehicles at the end of August,» Daniyar Amangeldiev told.
