Internal Affairs Ministry of Kyrgyzstan receives 66 units of new equipment

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov, together with members of the General Club of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, took part in the ceremony of handing over the equipment to the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.

At least 66 units of equipment were handed over to the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During his speech, the head of the Cabinet noted that over the past two years, more than 42 new buildings have been built throughout the republic and about 200 buildings of internal affairs bodies have been renovated.

«Special cameras were installed in each police station. As part of digitalization, in order to ensure the safety of citizens, 800 units of server equipment, video recorders, tablets, and 1,200 body cameras were purchased at the expense of the republican budget. Vehicles have been updated in every district and city department of internal affairs, and 59 mobile police reception centers are operating,» he said.

Akylbek Japarov added that the salaries of internal affairs officers have been significantly increased since 2019. Previously, an ordinary police inspector received 24,000 soms, now — 45,000, in Batken — about 80,000.

The head of the Cabinet also visited the operational control center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where he got acquainted with the work of video cameras synchronized with the body cameras of local police inspectors and employees of the State Traffic Safety Department.

In addition, he inspected the new heavy-duty vehicles of the Internal Troops and the Special Purpose Regiment, and also visited the new building of the traffic safety unit for Chui region.
