According to its data, the ministry held a meeting on preparation for the new period of implementation of the Global Fund project in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of Health Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, deputies of the Parliament Jyldyz Sadyrbaeva and Aibek Matkerimov, GF Regional Manager for Eastern Europe and Central AsiaDumitru Laticevschi, GF Program Officer Vira Zemlyanska and others.

The Minister thanked the members of the Global Fund mission for their great contribution to the fight against HIV infection and tuberculosis, as well as for strengthening the health care system of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The parties agreed to hold a final meeting and sign documents.
It became known in September that the Global Fund will stop funding to fight AIDS. This is due to the fact that representatives of government agencies of Kyrgyzstan were absent from the meeting at the Global Fund in Geneva to discuss the details of the country’s application for 2024-2026. The regional manager of the fund, Dumitru Laticevschi, said that negotiations on the application of Kyrgyzstan were stopped. Prior to this, the Global Fund approved funding for the country in the amount of $27.8 million until 2026.
