Sellers of Dordoi market held a rally against the transition to a special tax regime. Social media users reported.
The entrepreneurs do not want to switch to the new tax regime and require permission to continue working under the license.
License for trading activities will be canceled in Kyrgyzstan from January 1,2024. Dordoi and Kara-Suu markets are switching to a special tax regime. It means that cash registers will not be used in these markets, and the amount of tax payable will depend on the turnover of goods. At the same time, it will be possible to trade only inside the market.
A fight occurred during the rally at Dordoi. The rally participants demanded resignation of the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov.
It is reported that the protest against use of cash registers also took place at Orto-Sai and Madina markets. Entrepreneurs are unhappy that they will not be able to work under the special tax regime.
Sellers from Kara-Suu market held a rally on Wednesday.
The Tax Service told 24.kg news agency that their employees were on site and were conducting explanatory work.
