Owner of TSUM Anvar Gabbazov put on international wanted list

Anvar Gabbazov (now Mametov) has been put on the international wanted list. The press center of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan (SCNS) reported.

According to it, within the framework of the investigation of the criminal case on money laundering against members of the organized crime group of Kamchybek Asanbek (Kamchi Kolbaev) and individual business entities financing organized criminal groups, the owner of TSUM (Central Department Store), Anvar Gabbazov, was charged in absentia with committing a crime under Part 1 of the article 263 (financing of organized groups and criminal communities).

The SCNS noted that Anvar Gabbazov was involved in financing members of organized criminal groups, as well as money laundering.

During the investigation, it was established that, through his assistant M. Ramonov, he gave Kamchybek Asanbek an armored Mercedes-Benz 222 car. In October 2020, this car was handed over to the former prime minister of the Kyrgyz Republic Sapar Isakov after his release from prison.

At the same time, as part of the criminal case, information was received that Anvar Gabbazov and Kamchi Kolbaev, together with affiliated persons, illegally took possession of the territory of the former ZIL resort with an area of 42 hectares in Kara-Oi village with a total value of $15 million. It was registered to dummies.

In addition, facts of conducting common financial affairs and cooperation were revealed. In particular, Anvar Gabbazov purchased an expensive apartment in one of the prestigious districts of Bishkek, which had previously been registered in the name of a close relative of the leader of the organized crime group, as well as a cottage in Kaganat recreation center.

The crime boss Kamchi Kolbaev was eliminated during a special operation in Bishkek on October 4. The press center of the SCNS reported that the leader of the organized crime group was detained, who offered armed resistance during detention and was killed.
