Construction of 204 schools begins in Kyrgyzstan

Construction of 501 facilities has begun in Kyrgyzstan, 204 of which are secondary schools. The head of the Information Policy Service of the Presidential Administration, Daiyrbek Orunbekov, announced on Facebook.

He noted that the construction of schools, kindergartens, cultural centers, sports and water facilities, as well as administrative buildings is in full swing.

According to the official, the growth rate in the construction industry is 11.2 percent.

«By the new academic year, 43 schools, 5 sports halls and 3 kindergartens were put into operation after major repairs and construction. It is also planned to build another 100 educational institutions by the end of this year. The construction of 451 apartment buildings with a total area of 5,552 million square meters continues across the republic...,» he wrote.

Daiyrbek Orunbekov also added that 420 families affected by the armed conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border received the keys to new housing.
