President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed the law on the ratification of the agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Russia on the creation of a unified regional air defense system. The press service of the head of state reported.
The document was adopted by the Parliament on October 11.
The law is aimed at the implementation by Kyrgyzstan of internal state procedures for the entry into force of the agreement. To improve air defense in the region, the parties are creating a unified regional air defense system, which is an integral part of the unified air defense system of the CIS member states.
«The creation of the unified regional air defense system between Kyrgyzstan and Russia will ensure more reliable protection of the airspace of both countries. It will also enhance security and protect national interests. Ratification of the agreement confirms the commitment of the Kyrgyz Republic to strengthening strategic relations with the Russian Federation and contributes to the development of further interaction in the field of defense and security between the two states,» the presidential press service reported.
