Trial of the so-called Kempir-Abad case continues in the Pervomaisky District Court of Bishkek.
As one of the defendants in the case, Klara Sooronkulova, posted on Facebook, judge Marat Sadykov decided to conduct the trial without the participation of the accused in custody.
«The trial will be held not only behind closed doors, but also in absentia,» she wrote.
The trial will continue on October 11.
The Committee for protection of Kempir-Abad reservoir was created on October 22. It includes activists, politicians and MPs. Mass arrests began on October 23. Authorities placed 27 people in jail on charges of preparing for riots.
