At least 187 young doctors from Kyrgyzstan improve their qualification abroad free of charge. The Minister of Health, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, said at a meeting of Ata Jurt Kyrgyzstan parliamentary faction.
He specified that 20 of them study in Turkey, 167 — in Russia.
«The shortage of doctors reaches 50-60 percent in the mountainous regions of Kyrgyzstan,» the official added.
The current state of health care in the country, the reforms the Health Ministry is undertaking and ways to solve the problems are discussed at the meeting of the faction.
