Presidents of Kyrgyzstan and Russia give start to construction of three schools

«Today we give a start to the construction of three out of nine schools in Bishkek, Batken and Karakol,» the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov said at a ceremony of starting the construction of Russian-language general education institutions in the republic.

All schools in Kyrgyzstan and Russia have opened their doors today and are accepting students, he said. More than 150,000 children went to educational institutions for the first time in Kyrgyzstan.

«I am pleased to note that in each region of the country, Bishkek and Osh, nine modern schools will be built with the support of Russia, each of which will be designed for 1,224 children. These general education institutions will be equipped with everything necessary, including high-tech and modern equipment, swimming pools, recreational and sports facilities. Graduates of these schools will receive certificates of the two countries. Education in the new schools will be conducted in the Russian language, and the educational program will be based on the state standards of both countries,» Sadyr Japarov said.

The ceremony of laying capsules for the construction of schools in Bishkek, Batken and Karakol took place today. The construction itself will begin in 2024. It is planned to build three educational institutions each year. The first three will be put into operation in 2025.
