In order to improve the environmental situation in Bishkek, 22 coal-fired boiler houses are being converted to an alternative type of fuel. Press service of the City Hall reports.
Bishkekteploenergo has completed construction and installation work on switching six boiler houses to gas heating, construction and installation work is underway at 12 more boiler houses. Due to the lack of gas pipeline networks, four boiler houses will be converted to electricity.
The City Hall added that 27 out of 47 residential areas are already connected to gas heating. This year it is planned to connect 9 more: Ala-Archa, Bakai-Ata, Ak-Tilek, Ak-Tilek-2, Turbaza, Kyrman, quarter No. 83 Popenovka, quarter No. 6 Tovarnaya and quarter No. 20 Upper Dzhal.
