Switzerland provided Kyrgyzstan with more than 300 sets of skis. Director of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports Aibek Abdymomunov announced at a press conference.
The equipment is planned to be transferred to the regions — 80 each to Chui and Issyk-Kul regions, 50 each — to the southern regions.
Aibek Abdymomunov also noted that it was planned to develop winter sports in the republic; work with children, coaches, raising their level is necessary for this.
Kyrgyzstan Skiing Federation has recently been created in Kyrgyzstan.
