Kyrgyzstan banned the sale of Mr. Cider (manufacturer Anda, RF) alcoholic drink after mass poisonings in Russia. The Department of Disease Prevention and State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision reported.
According to it, in connection with registration of cases of poisoning in Russia caused by consumption of the drink, the territorial Centers for Disease Prevention and the State Sanitary and Epidemiological Supervision are taking active measures to detect and prevent the sale of this dangerous product.
«Sanitary instructions have been prepared for business entities involved in the supply and sale of products to prohibit the import of Mr. Cider drink into the country to ensure the safety and health of citizens. Raid inspections, monitoring visits to retail outlets and other public catering facilities are being carried out to detect and withdraw this product from the distribution network with conducting explanatory work,» the department noted.
The department asks the population to report any cases of discovery and sale of Mr. Cider drink. In case of its consumption, immediately consult a doctor, do not self-medicate.
It should be noted that the total number of victims of the cider has grown to 101 people in Russia. According to the Russian Ministry of Health, 30 people have died. The alcoholic drink contains methanol and ethyl butyrate.
